The Hill Resort is conceptualized as a sustainable, eco-friendly cabin seamlessly blending with nature. With its portable and modular design, the resort can be installed even in eco-sensitive zones, preserving the natural slope and minimizing environmental impact. Sustainable materials and construction techniques ensure a low ecological footprint, while the biophilic landscape integrates existing trees and plants, creating a harmonious connection between man-made spaces and the natural environment.
The Hill Resort is located in a sensitive hill region, characterized by its lush, natural landscape and varied topography. The site features a natural slope with a 1-meter level drop at the middle, maintaining the existing contour to minimize environmental impact and preserve the surrounding vegetation. This layout ensures unobstructed views of the landscape and integrates seamlessly with the natural surroundings, enhancing the resort's tranquil and harmonious environment.
During the initial stages of cottage development, the A-Line concept was explored to address the project's requirements. The design was evaluated based on the site brief, which included non-negotiable factors such as the preservation of natural contours and trees.
The site, spanning 1607 sqm, features significant slopes and a 1-meter level drop that divides the area into two distinct parts. The design solution aimed to preserve as much of the natural landscape as possible, maintaining the existing topography and vegetation while integrating the cottage harmoniously into its environment.
The A-line cottage is not space efficient because the sloped edges reduce usable space and offer less walkable height. so, Distorting the design to achieve more space. The reformulated A-Line cabin is offering a captivating blend of compact design and functional charm, perfect for those seeking a cozy retreat in nature. Its compact dimensions make it an ideal living space for a peaceful escape, while its unique layout adds an element of enchantment.
Traditional A-line cottages often struggle with space efficiency due to their sloped edges, which can limit usable space and reduce walkable height. To overcome these challenges, we're reimagining the design to maximize functionality and space. By distorting the angles and shifting edges, we can enhance the usability of these charming structures while preserving their distinctive style.
Our new cabin design features two distinct corners at varying heights—4'-0" and 17'-0". The lower corner is versatile and can adapt to various uses, adding flexibility to the space. The higher corner is perfect for storage or can be transformed into a lofted sleeping area, providing a cozy retreat for relaxation.
Each detail of the A-Line cabin has been meticulously planned, from its efficient layout to its inviting aesthetic. This compact yet captivating cabin offers a serene environment ideal for unwinding and rejuvenating, making it the perfect choice for a peaceful nature getaway.
